Once upon a time, Karien, our founder, discovered a premium ice cream brand that stole her heart while working as a chef in London. She indulged in this treat during her time off, despite never having been particularly fond of ice cream as a child. This led her to realiSe that good quality, handmade ice cream was not widely available in her home country of South Africa.
Upon her return, Karien honed her pastry skills as a fine dining chef, learning from renowned culinary masters. In 2011, when an opportunity arose, she seized it and WhiskAway was born. Today, WhiskAway continues to provide the finest quality handmade ice cream to all who seek a taste of luxury.
